PENNDOT Road Construction Project – Fleetwood

PENNDOT is working on a major reconstruction project on Routes 662 & Route 1010 that will affect both Franklin and Main Streets in Fleetwood over a three year period beginning in February of 2016.

Project updates will be available via the Fleetwood Borough webpage at the link below.

The first phase of the project will be starting on February 18, 2016. Initially, they will be working on the utilities and the road from Franklin and Main Streets out to almost to the Grange on Route 662.  The road will be closed with 3 detour routes (2 for cars and 1 for trucks).  There will be some ‘local traffic’ allowed during this initial phase of the project.  The Franklin Street portion of the project is scheduled to be completed in August of 2016.

This phase of the project will include utilities upgrades and road and sidewalk reconfigurations. At no time will contractors completely deny access to our facilities but there will be periods of inconvenience.  We are in communication with both the onsite project manager and his supervisor.  To try and alleviate the inconveniences as much as possible they will maintain communication with us throughout the project so we can communicate with our staff and clients.

Internally, we are looking into alternative parking solutions for our staff and clients. Additional information will be communicated as it becomes available to us.   At a minimum, we will be moving the two handicap parking spaces from the Fisher Building up to the Hotel Parking Lot.
