Greater Berks starts new program

CONCERN’s Greater Berks Counseling Services recently initiated Community Residential Rehabilitation (CRR) Services which provides individualized community-based behavioral treatment in a host family setting 24 hours a day.

The program follows the Child & Adolescent System Services Program (CASSP) principles and focuses on enhancing the strengths of children while addressing their mental health and behavioral needs. The host home settings provide an environment that is structured and treatment-oriented while at the same time providing care and support.

GinaGina Manidis, community residential rehabilitation program supervisor, will oversee the project. Gina’s extensive resume includes experience as an inpatient drug and alcohol counselor, a drug and alcohol licensing specialist for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and as an outpatient therapist and as CONCERN’S clinical coordinator at the Berks County Youth Center.
