Field trips enhance education

An educational field trip can be an integral part of an instructional program. Good field trips provide participants with first hand experience and opportunities for learning not available within a classroom.

Thanks to the Special Needs Fund, children in CONCERN’s care do not have to miss out on these educational opportunities. In the first quarter alone of this school year, the Special Needs Fund dispersed more than $300 for field trips. Our children joined their classmates on educational visits to Hedgerow Theatre, the Academy of Sciences, the Renaissance Fair, Penn’s Cave, Washington, D.C., and more.
