Greater Berks Receives Community Donation

The Fleetwood Area Youth Football and Cheerleading Association recently donated over $2,500 to CONCERN. The group raised the funds through its first-ever Football Charity Bowl against Kutztown Youth Football..

Melanie Beidler, Greater Berks secretary, received a Leadership Recognition Award in honor of her efforts that brought CONCERN and the Fleetwood Area Youth Football and Cheerleading Association together.

In addition to the proceeds from the tournament, the agency also received recognition at the event and in the local newspaper.

Youth from the Fleetwood Area Football and Cheerleading Association visited the Greater Berks regional office to present a check to Cindy O’Neil, assistant regional director, and Eda Cofield, regional director (both standing with check). The organization raised $2,500 for CONCERN through its 2007 tournament day.
