CONCERN has been selected as one of 25 charities to participate in the annual Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community being held on Saturday May 30 at DeSales University in Center Valley, PA.
The Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community is an annual fundraising walk that benefits local health and human service agencies with Highmark Inc. coordinating and underwriting the cost of the walk so that 100 percent of the money raised by walkers goes to the participating nonprofits like CONCERN.
The primary goal of the Walk is to help participating organizations raise money for their individual missions while the secondary goal is to energize community members to have a greater hand in their health by becoming or staying physically active.
Beginning at 9:00am, this is a 5K Walk or twice around the 1.64 mile course. You can walk as long as you wish. If you have difficulty walking, wheelchairs and scooters are permitted. You can walk alone or form your own team with as many of your friends and family as you wish.
Help us meet our modest first year goal of $5,000. We can only accomplish this goal with you by our side stride by stride.
