In the non-profit human services sector, performance management, outcomes measurement, and performance based contracts have now joined the ranks of quality assurance, compliance reviews, and performance audits.  Understanding and performing these essential tasks requires one with the appropriate knowledge, experience, and a keen attention to detail.

When the time came to find someone that embodied all of these attributes, Cheryl Reeling, LSW was chosen to lead CONCERN’s quality assurance efforts as she became CONCERN’s new Director of Quality Assurance.
Cheryl will be responsible for the management of quality assurance and improvement initiatives in all of our divisions, including foster care, adoption and permanency, community based, residential, and behavioral health.  In addition, Cheryl will be tasked with potentially leading CONCERN through the accreditation process.

Cheryl is a graduate of York College of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and later received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Maryland.  Cheryl is also a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and has earned her Healthcare Compliance Certification.

For the past 23 years, Cheryl has worked for a nationally recognized nonprofit human services organization in a variety of positions with each subsequent position having increased responsibility.  Her positions have included Program Director, Clinical Supervisor, Director of Quality Assurance, Director of Program Services, and Vice President.

Cheryl’s responsibilities have included multi-state management of 21 program offices that included a variety of human services programs, including behavioral health, outpatient clinics, juvenile justice, child welfare, developmental disabilities, employment services, and assisting on accreditation activities.  In addition, Cheryl was a founding member of their Compliance Committee and served as co-chair of that committee for five years.

Cheryl is excited to be with CONCERN and she hopes to work toward continued quality improvement here and promote a successful and participative quality assurance process.

Cheryl currently resides in York, Pennsylvania with her family.
