CONCERN, a private nonprofit, community-based child welfare agency is looking for a full time Director of Development & Marketing for its corporate headquarters in Fleetwood, PA.

The Director of Development & Marketing is a key member of CONCERN’s Senior Leadership Team that reports directly to the President/CEO. In this position, you will support the overall development of all agency programs and initiatives through innovative and forward thinking strategies that continue to build brand awareness and agency positioning for future opportunities. 
The Director of Development & Marketing will also actively pursue grants, respond to requests for proposals, and manage donor funds. While remaining knowledgeable of the best practices for nonprofit marketing and development, you will be challenged to get creative as the leader for all agency fundraising and marketing strategies.


Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in non-profit management, social work, business/public administration or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.


• Five years of related work experience.


Other Requirements

Candidate credentials must be in compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations.
Candidate must be willing to obtain state & federal clearances including FBI/Fingerprinting, Childline & PATCH.


Duties and Responsibilities

In the role as a leader, this supervisor provides administrative, educational, and supportive functions to staff.
Play an integral role in Agency development, expansion and growth initiatives working closely with other leadership team members to create and deliver compliant, high quality programs.
Collaborate and work closely with Corporate Management Team and staff in order to meet the Agency’s and each facility’s fundraising goals and actively pursues opportunities that satisfy Agency and client needs.
Identify, cultivate and solicit prospective funding sources to include, but not limited to, the planning and oversight of direct mail solicitations; foundation, corporate and general funding applications; special events; planned giving activities and use of social media and digital arenas.
Build positive relationships within the community and offers stewardship to donors.
Prepare grant applications and monitors and ensures the intent of all approved grants is fulfilled.
Manage Agency contribution funds and grants through the Agency’s donor database.
Maintains the required agency registration and/or licenses with State charitable organizations and monitoring bodies.
Manage select data collection activities to meet both departmental and Agency needs and offers relevant research and education to the team members.
Oversee the production of Agency newsletters, annual reports, brochures, information packets and other necessary marketing materials.
