2020 Highmark Virtual Walk for a Healthy Community
May 9, 2020 - June 30, 2020
CONCERN has been selected as one of 25 charities to participate in the annual Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community. The Walk was scheduled to be held on Saturday May 30 at DeSales University in Center Valley, PA, but has since been changed to a Virtual Walk.
A virtual walk is a real walk, but it’s on your terms! Anytime between May 9 – June 30, you choose how and when you walk (treadmill, park or trail, or around the neighborhood) – it’s your choice! You also pick the time of when you start and stop.
The Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community is an annual fundraising event that benefits local health and human service agencies. Highmark Inc. coordinates and underwrites the cost of the Walk so that 100 percent of the money raised by walkers goes to the participating nonprofits like CONCERN.
The primary goal of the Walk is to help participating organizations raise money for their individual missions while the secondary goal is to energize community members to have a greater hand in their health by becoming or staying physically active.
Walk for your Health. Walk with Your Friends and Family. Walk for a Good Cause. Walk and Raise Money for CONCERN. So . . .
Share this information with your family. Share with your friends. Share on social media.
Help us meet our modest first year goal of $5,000. We can only accomplish this goal with you by our side stride by stride.
To register as an individual walker, create a team (no minimum or maximum number), or if you just wish to make a donation, please go to the CONCERN page of the Highmark Walk at http://hcf.convio.net/concern4kids anytime between now and June 30.
