Full time Permanency Specialist/Supervisor- Reading, PA

CONCERN – Professional Services for Children, Youth, and Families has a unique full-time position available. We are seeking a full time Permanency Specialist/Supervisor; this position is half-time direct service work and half-time supervisory work based out of the Greater Berks (Fleetwood, Pennsylvania) site. The role would entail completing SWAN services for families and children of all ages to prepare them for permanency. The worker in this position would complete a range of SWAN services, including Child Profiles, Child Preparation services, Child Specific Recruitment services, adoptive Family Profiles, and Finalization services in the Berks County and surrounding areas. In addition, the worker would supervise some Permanency Specialists. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely from a home office. The position requires a minimum of a BA/BS degree in Social Work or other human services related field; a Masters degree is preferable. We are seeking a worker with a knowledge and understanding of the child welfare system; a minimum of three years experience in SWAN adoption services is required; additional supervisory experience is also preferred. Excellent writing, communication, computer, and organizational skills is required. Some evening hours and local travel necessary. CONCERN offers an excellent salary and benefits.

Education and Experience
1. Master’s degree in clinical discipline, current PA State License required LMFT, LPC or LCSW preferred. e.g. Social Work, Behavioral Science, Psychology.*
2. Two years or more experience in a mental health related field serving children, preferably including the dually diagnosed.

Other Requirements
• Act 33, 73 and 34 clearances
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Must be available for additional hours beyond their normal work schedule.
• Hours may include evenings and weekends as necessary.
• Must be able to travel as needed.
