About the Event
These two trainings Fostering Youth social emotional skills define the social emotional skills of self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, healthy relationships and responsible decision making. It focuses on specific strategies that foster social emotional competency in youth and identifies evidence-based measures that track children’s current social emotional levels and ongoing growth. The second training, Strategies to Prevent Secondary Traumatic Stress examines secondary traumatic stress signs, risks and measuring tools. Realistic, “on-the-go” breathing and tension releasing approaches and physiological and emotional regulation strategies will be taught.
